The Culbertson Flag for sale at Sotherby's Today

The Culbertson flag is a Battalion or Regiment level US battle colors recovered from the Custer Battlefield during the recovery and internment of those who died at the last stand.

Since it's a US colors it is very possibly the colors that Custer's orderly would of been carrying into the battle. The below linked article is well worth the read for the provinece (tracked/accounted for history) of the flag. It's a 36 page document, but well worth it.
