Some scope endorsed by Remington. Not too good, but get's the job done.

All this for $589. (no transfer FFL/transfer fee required, no shipping hassle/fee)
Took it to the range today, shot for shit at first, once I got it sighted in though drove tacs.

Going to upgrade the scope to a little higher quality glass, and get a more comfy stock or cheek pad (cheek doesn't set right on current).

If any Rangers here shoot one of these for competition or fun, and have recommendations for upgrades or optics (~<300) it would be greatly appreciated.

.308 WIN. I opted out of the .223 as .308 makes a bigger boom ...also they didn't have .223 at the time in stock, and they weren't offering rainchecks!

Going to get a Leupold 3-9x40 VX-II and Burris XTR Low 1" Rings and an Eagle Industries cheek pad. I feel like a kid in a candy store...but instead of candy it's firearms.

Range Report:
Took it out to the range today, with my new scope and bipod. This rifle is great. It delivers what it promises as a 1 MOA rifle, but I still bet it can out shoot me. Need to do some fine tuning with the scope still, little discrepancy POA vs. POI. Need to work on trigger pull with the rifle, and control my breathing a bit more.. Still though, very happy with it. Need to take it out to 300yds+ now!

I just bought a Remington 700 SPS tactical in .308. It's got the same bolt and barrel that the police issue Model 700 has but it has a different stock on it. Supposedly a sub .5 MOA out of box. But I am not a sub .5 MOA shooter. These 700's are sexy rifles.
