difficulty in getting option 40?

Post by aimee2180 »

So, how hard is it really to get an option 40 contract? It seems like they don't just give it out to anyone (good thing!). Are there age limits on the lower end? I'd assume we don't want to send 16 or 17 yr olds into sh*t like that. Then again, if they want it....

Fine, then... don't answer me!
J/k (of course), but I would like to know, if possible, about the age thing.

Disregard these posts, please. I'm just an idiot for not looking elsewhere on this site. :-\
Sorry!

Thank you. I got up pretty early today! (can you tell?)

What does this mean? "Sic vis pacum para bellum"
Something like, "so you wish for peace to prepare for war?"

I know a little Latin, but I speak fairly fluent Italian (and Spanish), so sometimes b/t that and all the Latin I've picked up from choir over the years I can get the gist of what they're saying. Doesn't always come out exactly right, though, as you can see!

From my end it looks like they have a drawing and pick a name out of a hat.

LOL good call SFC hit_it.

aimee2180 I was thinking the exact same thing while reading your post.

I'm new also, and one of the first things you will notice is that the Rangers and Soldiers on this forum are rather wise to things like this; was catching up on the forum last night as, like I said, I'm new, and noticed a lot of replies from them that make perfect sense - things I would have never even thought about.
