Benning to recognize Instructors of the Year

Officials at Fort Benning, Ga., will recognize its Instructors of the Year at an awards ceremony Dec. 11 in Infantry Hall, according to a press release.

Capt. Nathanael Peterson will be honored as the 2007 Officer Instructor of the Year. Peterson has been in the Army since 2002. In 2006, he was assigned to C Company, 6th Ranger Training Battalion, where he currently is serving as a platoon training team officer in charge.

The 2007 Senior Enlisted Instructor of the Year is Sgt. 1st Class James Mastrodomenico, who has been in the Army since 1998. In 2005 he was assigned to C Company, 5th Ranger Training Battalion, where he served as a combat techniques instructor and a basic military mountaineering instructor.
