My recruiter said the wierdest thing
My recruiter said the wierdest thing
He said that you should not wear a Ranger Scroll on your right shoulder if you do not have a Ranger Tab, Even if you served with the 75 Ranger Regiment for 10 years did 10 deployments to combat with Regiment and lets say there was a reason you couldnt atend Ranger School for some reason, you still shouldn't wear one,now does that sound wierd to anybody.
I never wore a tab but had a scroll on both shoulders

All of the lower enlisted that went to JC (Panama) in 2/75 were wearing their combat scrolls without Ranger tabs when I got there a few months later. They earned them. Why not? They were wearing their combat jump wings and CIB's also.
What does your recruiter wear? It sounds like he has Ranger envy...
Tell him to join this website and I'm sure a few of the boys here would love to square him away

Tell your recruiter to read AR 670-1.
A scroll (or any other unit patch) worn on the right shoulder is a Shoulder Sleeve Insignia - Former Wartime Service (SSI-FWS) otherwise known as a combat patch. All personnel assigned or attached to a unit during a particular period of deployment to a specified location during a specific time period are authorized to wear it. For example, Iraq right now.
The Tab is an individual award. It's placement is specific to the left shoulder, above the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia.
Now, if your recruiter is saying that someone without a Tab isn't a "real Ranger" or something like that - then he's fucked up. What is he wearing? Tell him to please join ArmyRanger.com...

Tell your none knowing recruiter to suck a fat rats ass.
Ask your recruiter if you should wear a tab over that combat scroll. If he says yes, take a copy of the AR 670-1 and jam it up his ass. If the mother fucker doesn't know who is authorized to wear a combat patch and how it's worn, he shouldn't be authorized to fill the slot he's in.
