Hey guys,
Anybody in the area able to get me a pic of a mural on the wall of the RIP area?

If it is still there.

It is on the wall at the end of the hallway, North end I think.

It is a pic of a Vietcong wearing the conical hat, walking in arice paddy with an AK. Just as his head is incinerated...
And the blood is splatteredoutside the pic "frame".

I still remember that mural clearly to this day and just want a good digital pic of it.

Is it on the 1st floor?

I never recall seeing it on 2nd or 3rd floor of either building... and I'd imagine something like that would stand out. Could be wrong...

When I went to RIP it was on the 3rd floor I believe. Almost certain we were on the 3rd floor due to some time hacks. Ya know 3 minutes to go up 3 flights of stairs, fill a 2qt, and get back in formation.
Oh and the entrance was on the backside of the building...
Hurry the fuck up Rangers.

Anyway we were in the same building with Pre-Ranger.
1st floor was all the normal shit, supply, aid station, CQ, etc..
2nd was Pre-Ranger, 3rd was RIP.


when we were there for Ranger rendevous in 1997 they were renovating 3rd Batt barrakcs so maybe the renovated it out of there.

Ranger Jakeshoe, it doesn't exist anymore. On the walls are some pictures of skulls, and several quotes. No pictures of VC in a rice patty though. That must have been covered up.

It was there on the second floor. at one end of the hall way there was a a sniper fireing down the hall at the other end the VC was in his death throws.

I also had the quotes painted up there as well. sorry to hear it is gone now.

Too bad they're gone. If I remember correctly they were painted in late '93.
