Air Assault School preparation?

Post by Capellanus »

Fellow Rangers,

I just got a confirm seat for Air Assault School and was seeking advice and G2 on how I can best prepare for it.

I graduated Airborne School & RIP and sent almost 6yrs in Batt So I feel as this school will not be a problem but I am 34 yrs/old now and I don't want to be ambushed by any surprises.

Any advice, or G2 is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

RLTW

Don't let a leg beat you in the 12 mile ruckmarch...

and learn how to say "Air Assault" about 10,000 times a day and maintain a straight face.

Now I get to be a cherry all over again

I plan to jog the RM and make it under 2 hrs. 35-45 lbs is light weight compared to my 60lb ruch in batt as a medic. Really, I am not worried about the RM but want to know a little about the course from some veteran graduates.

Actually, they changed the term "run" to Waddle after Bubba went through.

There was a sign at the Air Assault School at Campbell back in the late 80s that proclaimed it was the toughest 10 days in the Army. My "roll" emoticon didn't go through...

I thought that the toughest '10 days in the Army' was when I tried to clear CIF.
