Ar-15 magazine taped with para 550 loop. Why?

Well the title pretty much says it.
Can some of you experts clue me in to this little gem? Is it to help get the mag out if it is stuck?

Ever touch a metal object that was 5 degrees Farenheit with bare hands? Or try to grab something slippery with a thick set of gloves on?

Try pulling a single magazine out of the pouch when it's sandwitched between two other mags, and your hands are dripping with sweat, and you're in the prone, and you're still on target and pulling the trigger with your other hand, and it's raining, and... you get the point :)

Have to do better then that..........The mags were never hand receipted to me, hence, no paper work....Besides, how you gonna tell which mags came from Batt and which were purchased at a gun show out of my pile of 60+ mags?

Let me guess, the 60+ mags are covering the GAY PORNO STASH that you and Luna have out in my garage...
