MOLLE Gear is it only used in the Marine Core?

I don't know a lot about MOLLE Gear, other than what I have read. Which generacally said it sucks. It breaks fast, and useless in a battle while on your body.

More specifically the MOLLE II Ruck, frame, patrol pack, and the FLC, etc..., not the R.A.C.K..

Has anyone had experience in the Rangers with this gear? Or do the Rangers even use it?

Opinions of prefered gear would be great to hear too.

It's Corps, not Core.

Everyone uses Molle....also called "pals" and it's great! the negative remarks you heard probably concerned the Marine molle rucks, which do suck.

Rangers used to be issued the Ranger Rack-Ranger Assault Carrying Kit...a chest harness basically, and it's the shiznit.....

These days, a lot of troops are just connecting the molle pouches straight to their body armor.

I believe these days the AD Rangers are getting issued the Molle 2 Fighting Load Carrier........any you AD Rangers care to share?

All Rangers are issued the MOLLE system. We fuckin hate it. The vest is ok but we modified it so it buckles in the back like the RACK (what we use to wear made by Natick Labs) not like and LBE. The rest of it is shit. No one uses the ruck sack portion. First there are too many parts to loose. Second the plastic frame breaks very easily and isn't very comfortable. Everyone uses their old ALICE ruck or a Black Hawk assualt pack. We are going to a new system and turning in our MOLLE.

Are there SOP's on how you wear your gear?

Are you allowed to wear a RACK now? Do the rippies get alice or molle?

There are no more SOP's for your kit anymore. The only thing is that you have to have your bleeder kit (ratchet strap, curlex, and Isreali dressing) in the far right pouch. The SOP's for your gear went away when everyone went away from the LCE in 01. We are getting this new shit called STRIKER I believe it's in the diamond back cataloge. The RACK vest has a plate carrier in it. They took the RACKS away from us in the fall of 02 and the SOP was only MOLLE except for the ruck you can still use the ALICE. The RIPees still use the LCE ALICE system.

What's the name of the body armor you guys are using? It's like the interceptor but without the front opening, right?

Yeah your right on with the armor but you pul it over your head it doesn't open inthe front. Some guys do say fuck it and wear the RACK. But only staff fags. Oh yeah Diamond Back "For the Merc/SEAL/Sniper/Ranger/SWAT guy in you!" We are aloud to wear Tactical Taylor and Black Hawk shit but your main vest has to be MOLLE.
