Welcome Tom the center....have you talked to a recruiter yet? 6'3" and 290 is pretty damn big...I'm 6'2" 260.......but I went in at about 6'4" and 185........

I have to agree with Bad Mutha. You sound way too big. I personally don't know what the weight limit is but you must be close to it. I was also 6'2" but weighed a mere 145 lbs when drafted in "my time" before DVD's. The Army is not going to have your large size uniforms custom made for you. If you are this size 290 lbs and don't lose much during training you surely will gain after training when you go to some cushion job. Your abnormally high weight will drum yourself right out of the military should you gain weight.

I was 6'3" 245 when I went in. I stayed around 220 while in Batt. Right now I go about 275-285. It depends on how big of a shit I take in the morning.

I went to Ranger School with a Guard off the West Point Football Team. He came to City week weighing 280....he left weighing 215. Seems the school didnt cater to his dietary requirments very well. Back then, I think they allowed 600 calories a day which will trim the ass off the best of em. Poor little guy had to tie his pants around his ass on graduation day. Ive seen some hosses make it cause the heart is much bigger than the ass. Drive on, son. If its fat on you and your heart drives you....that shit will comes off.
