Holy shit SB! There's hope for me yet!  This is a method of saying they're not lowering the standards by lowering the standards..unbelievable, I can't imagine what repercussions this will create to our future warrior's leadership pool. I know everyone here especially the Ol timers remember the guys getting kicked out of ANCOC for failing land nav, PT or Tape test and having their careers stopped or ended by failing simple commomn standards. How is this fair and beneficial to the Army in the long run by not disenrolling non-standard Soldiers..I say it's not and it's a shame. 4 Months to retirement! :x

This is right in line with not having to complete PLDC (now WLC) for promotion to SGT. Now, you have to complete it for promotion to SSG. I know that the course is bullshit for anyone with strong leadership in place as they come up the ranks, but a lot don't get that. I spent a year with MPs and did more mentoring of the young SGTs than anything else.

Lowering the standards without lowering the standards.

I'm sorry but can any one translate that in to civilian? Does this have any bearing on RIP?
