the point in theory is that the straps won't melt in a turret fire as the tanker unasses the ride, or get caught in the turret ring as the turret traverses, and eats a foot. just poor discipline if you ask me.

hey SB, here's some tanker lore for ya: you are not authorized to wear your tanker boots until after your first successful Table 10. If a Table 10 qualed, gay boot wearer finds out out a tanker is wearing the boots prematurely, the straps may be cut off by said qualified tanker.

anymore gay Cav traditions you need help with, I'm happy to explain the ones I know.

At 3lbs...what kind of running shoes are you wearing?

Those NB look futuristic. Are you sure they weigh more than 3 lbs?

They actually make me float on thin air. Actually I believe they weigh approximately 14 oz. Perhaps I should have stated that the boots feel as though they weigh less than my running shoes.

Y'all be haten' on Tanker Boots but the black Corcoran's look badass when their spit shined. Spit shine the whole boot to glass and just buff the straps so thier flat black. :D

I have a pair that I got in '85 at Knox the first time I went through basic. I use to wear them when I was in 2/18. The COC tried to jump my ass about it and said it was an Infantry unit, I told them I was a 19E before I was an 11C, and they dropped it.

I use to walk in wearing Heavy starched BDU's with all my scary shit sewn on and a pair of highly spit shinned Tanker boots and my PC rolled.

They fucking hated me.

Except for the pair you wear while doing female impersonations on the web, right? Would you like some kevlar ass armor before you start your self-flagellation penance?
