Marshall ROTC 85-88 Infantry. Airborne 38-86 Charley135 A/1-507. WVNG B 2/19th SFG(A) Ceredo-Kenova WV 86-91 SFAS/SFQC (as Inf LT) 89-90 IOBC 11 I/R 91-92 3/20 SFG(A) C. Blanding FL 92-94
AOIC 95. DoS BMA 96-98
When I was enlisted with the 19th SFG, and a ROTC Cadet, I went to ROTC Advanced Camp at FT Lewis. The 2/75 conducted the "Recondo" and CWST. While I was traversing the pool, a Ranger noticed the SF unit patch (minus the SF tab) and asked "What are you...21, 22...why the F**K are you in an SF unit already? That Shit is for retirement!"
This was all before you were allowed to wear both the Ranger and SF tabs over Airborne. Once that was approved, RS became the hottest slot after Q.
Much Respect
