Hello,
I've been lurking, reading many of the posts for the past couple of days, just found this board.
My son is attempting to enlist with a ranger option contract after he graduates High School and more than anything I'm just do some research to help him through the recruiting process.
I've been AD 7 days shy of 20 years myself. Major units from 1986-1993 include include 82nd, 2ID, 101st, and 1st CAV. I went to SFAS in 1993, the SFQC in 1994 and have spent the majority of the time since then in 10th SFG. Currently I'm enroute to my new job as the CMF 18 Senior Enlisted Carreer Manager at HRC Alexandria.

Just wondering if our paths may have crossed, I started out as a 12B although you would have been quite senior to me..........
I was in B/307th at Bragg from 86-88, 2nd in Korea from 88-89; a squad leader in the 20th at Campbell for a few years, and finally I was a Platoon Sergeant and the ABE in the 20th again at Hood in the 1st CAV.
Breaking track in 105 degrees is what finally forced my move into SF.
