Upgrading an ALICE Pack

Post by Flesh Thorn »

Has anyone used any after market ALICE Pack straps ? http://www.ustacticalsupply.com/alicepacks.shtml I have decided against a new pack and would like to make my trusty old ALICE a little more comfortable . I kind of like both the sleeping bag extension and storm flap mod that they offer too.

Those straps look alot like what we are using now (They have changed). A storm flap is never a bad idea (unless it costs more than a Ruck cover).

Flesh Penis,

TT has some good mods like DesertSlug said.

Best thing to mod out on the alice is to switch the frame to a nylon one.

Tyler,
"King" is the ruck you get for free. Spending $300.00 on a ruck won't keep your weak ass from falling out!

Ranger Silverback,
Roger. Was only seeing what all of you though about this Ruck. A little too much if you ask me. I have heard alot saying the big green tick is preferred, and then getting the MALICE upgrades.

Respectfully,
Tyler

The only nylon frame that I have found is the MULE that BQM offers.

I'll check around when I have time FP....

Coleman made one and then someone else took it over from Coleman. I'll check the mule out and see if it's similiar.
