In case you have forgotten

I wish I was too.

I bet it's beautiful this time of year, all the leaves starting to turn, a nice soft breeze of clean Autumn air. A nice stroll through the rolling hills. The wildlife running around playing without a care in the world.

Ahhhh the memories!

I like the cold. Actually I miss it (Yonah). Lots of wind (gale force). Very, very cold. It was a winter class. God I miss it. I think this Saturday I'll walk up our hill 500 meters up from my house to the top at 1000 meters. It will rain hard this Saturday. I can't wait. :D

The only patrol I failed in RS was in Mountains. I can hardly remember anything after the first few days.

I remember my Ranger Buddy, who was being promoted to Major by (then) Col. Grange upon graduation and coming to RHQ as Regimental Signal Officer. He was the one I had to carry on the buddy rappel. He played against Howie Long in college and was all of 250lbs at the beginning of RS. I must have weighed about 130lbs by that time.

It was a very short trip to the bottom.

That, the knot test, and blueberry pancakes are all I can remember.
I'd like to see it again though, under different circumstances.
