What goes on up until you go to ranger school? Do I really have to have a threesome with 2 fat women? Just kidding... but really, do I have to have sex with two fat girls?

You train!...and I'm not talking about with fat chicks, although fat girls need love too. Ambushes, raids, recons, CQB, airfield siezures, Patroling, medical training, land nav, weapons mastery, combatives, leadership. You learn your job. Your team leaders, whether you realize it or not, will be getting you ready for war...and ranger school.
