The Standing Orders.

In the back of the Ranger Handbook there are 19 standing orders. I was wondering if this is another thing that should be commited to memory prior to depature.

I don't recall a requirement to memorize them in my day. However, it may be required now. Ranger Dis would be able to tell you.

More important than memorizing the words, is remembering the principles contained in those rather short phrases.

That's pretty much what was said to me the day I arrived. It's not requred to memorize them, just know what they are and why the are important. But, also like what Ranger Plavney said, just fucking learn it. If you know it, then you look that much better when asked.
