Hey everyone. I've been lurking here, SOCNET, and other military boards for awhile. I'll try to keep the stupid questions/comments to a minimum. Let's see...for the intro, right?

I'm 17, turning 18 in Jan, waiting so I can DEP papers w/o parental permission. I'm about 5'6", 120lbs (skinny...I know), cross country and track runner and had a desire to serve for many years but recently (for the last year or so) have looked into the Rangers.

Anything else any Rangers/DEPers want to know, I'll shoot it out there. Otherwise, I'll adapt the SOCNET policy of mouth shut and ears open... :)

A nice little update, so no need for two topics. Anyways, I took my first trip down to the recruiter's office in awhile and found out they have a Ranger there. (See my post in Ranger Buddies). He volunteered for recruiting duty and has about 8 1/2 years in the 1st Bat.

Sooooo....it looks like when I sign my contract next month, I'll have my own personal "smoke buddy" to prepare me. When you guys say "smoke him", you can damn sure I'll be getting a workout.

Next time I drop by, I'll tell him about here and SOCNET. Hopefully he'll come over and share a few interesting stories...
