You're right, but we do say Junior Officers, Field Grade Officers and General Officers to distinguish the differences. Just like we have Junior Enlisted, NCOs and Senior NCOs. The USMC calls E-7 and above "Staff NCO" and the Navy call them "Chiefs".

I thought they called them faggots
