Is knife fighting irrelevant?

Um...Ranger H8train...sir...I have been struck by lightning. It was in Basic; does that still count? :wink:

No offense, men, but fuck this knife fighting shit. The only knife I ever carried was a goddamn Leatherman.

When I was a cherry, I asked my squad leader why he didn't carry a big, cool, gawdy killin' knife. He told me "Bubba, if I ever need one, there will be plenty of 'em laying around on all the dead bodies. Why carry the extra weight?"

I think he was right. If a Hooah ever finds himself in a knife fight in combat, then most everyone else is dead, and he is soon to be.

Though I be the lone survivor .....
