He passed with no mistakes! 100% on all Tao and Technical issues and he was awarded the Green belt. And the training goes on.
I'm impressed he is doing well.

Thanks all. I often wonder how far he will go. He's not taller than my tits and missing his two front teeth still. The little guy told me that after he gets his black belt he wants to try TAI KWAN DO then AIKIDO. Go figure...
I love that boy!
Yes I help out after his school work, we go through his exercises and I correct some of his form.

It's awesome watching him and his freinds grow. You can see that some are not inclined to be fighters and others are. I still remember my sons first punch to his face. Although it hurt and or surprised him, he made a double take looked at the kid with a look of "you did what?" and started spin ckicking and punching away. Yeah I felt great! His little lip was all red and swollen but on the way home he was smiling!!!borebrush wrote:Which set of tit's is that Ranger Chiron?Chiron wrote:He's not taller than my tits![]()

I think that Tae Kwon Do is a good started because it helps with flexibility. Most of there stances don’t use that much hip rotation so there not as affective as they could be. I am taking shotakon (karate) and I like it better then Tae Kwon Do, they also teach a little Jiu Jitsu but I don’t think that is in most shotakon classes. I would also say the earlier the better to start.

Re: Martial Arts and kids
Well after an 18 month break from Kung Fu, my son started again and completed the requirements for and passed the test and was subsequently awarded the Blue Belt. He studies FU Jow Pai (Tiger Claw), Kung Fu.
The next step is the brown but here he must be at least 12 and then 14 for the black.
Since the new belt he's been concentrating on the semi-contact part. He's doing well for a 10 year old.
