I apologize for my inactivity on here.
I made it to the end of phase one, then failed land nav at Cole Range. Found 4 out of 5 points on my first iteration, but was late, then couldn’t pull through on my second one. I’ve been recycled to the next class, which is scheduled to start June 11th.
I have some work to do and have been making a few tweaks here and there.

Accepting the reality of my failure has been difficult, seeing my buddies move on without me, and having to go through phase 1 again, but I will be here as long as it takes to make it, it drives me. Ranger Regiment is, without a doubt, the place to be in the Army.

Failure is not something people in our profession get very often. And when we do it get, it stings... a lot. Getting it early is good, I suppose. Maybe it humbles you a bit. Maybe you take less for granted. Or maybe you learn that life is a just a bitch sometimes. I got my first taste well into my career and I am still bitter about it 10 years later. Keep at it. If you can't solve it with logic, just be as violent as possible. It will sort out!

Hello Rangers, I am happy to report that I finally succeeded on land nav at Cole Range. Was able to find 4 points in about 3 hours. Lionsden also passed on his first iteration. We left Monday with 104 and got back yesterday with 60. We are scheduled to begin phase 2 this coming week. Cannot wait to begin shooting and demo starting soon.

Hello Rangers, just got back from pass. Proud to report that I have finally succeeded in the completion of RASP, we graduated Friday with 56. I am heading to 2/75.
Recycling sucked at first, but the persistence paid off. Graduating was pretty surreal. Ranger Disinfertention was kind enough to make an appearance, I was very grateful for that.
For anyone aspiring to be in Regiment, I promise you that the pride you will develop for this unit will be worth any pain that you go through in the process.
As Ranger Jim always told us, “Never, never quit.”
