Introduction

So you are not really into school right now? Fuck it. I was in the same situation, but in the National Guard and going to college. I just wasnt feeling challenged or fulfilled at the time. So, I went Active Army and got assigned to Ft. Campbell for 3 years. Then I pulled my head out of my ass and told myself that I want 3 things that I dont have now. Airborne Wings, A Ranger Scroll, and a Ranger Tab. I reenlisted in Iraq to go to Airborne School and ROP, eventually making it to Regiment. Best decision I have ever made, should have done it when I was 18, but I didnt and cant change it. I got a chance to go to Ranger School shortly after and gutted it out for 2 months. I love it here and I am still picking away at online college classes (one at a time, but they are adding up). Long story short, go with your gut. If you want it, take it. Dont waste time making excuses like a girlfriend, if she wants to wait she will, if not she wouldnt the first time you deploy anyway. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.

At least finish a two year degree, since you should be close; then join.

Yes, I've been quiet as of lately. I've been reading every post here and in other post and taking it all in. I need to go retake the ASVAB so I can enlist and get the 11x/Opt 40. It's been over two years since I've taken it. Thanks for all of the advice Rangers and others. It has opened my eyes to many things and helped me realize a lot.
