I think chow birds are now just a found memory of some of us. guess they finally figured out we were getting over. now they have 58s doing support for every other class or so. and with Air Ground Integration, not chow.

No they still support the Panger Mission. My neighbor from accross the street at Rucker was in 47 FS21 and they did the Ranger Mission as their IP led Mission. His wife and other in their class FRG made over 400 PB&Js. Of course Lifts 1 and 2 ate them all and fucking left Lift 3 with empty coolers. The CE tried to manage the feeding frenzy and save some for Lift 3 but no joy!!!

But yea, Rucker still does the Ranger Mission!!

It's good to know that this tradition has not been allowed to disappear. I always thought it was great because: 1) the student Pilots have the opportunity to ease the Ranger burden, and 2) it reminds the Ranger students that they can count on Army aviation to be there for them.
