Holy shit Hopps, I can't wait for you to come to RIP.
You will do push-ups for every hole you have in your head. Oh and by the way, I will make you eat like that.

Hopps, they make you pay for your haircuts, at least they did back in 1984 when I went to Basic. Even those guys that got a doorknob cut before they got there had the clippers run across their bald knoggins and charged $3.75.Hopps wrote:

Ranger Spartan:
The pic was for my mom, she and her 3rd husband live in Charleston, he's a RVN vet (25th ID I believe). She sent the boys those shirts, and hasn't been out here to see the little boy but once.
I speak English very well (the wife says I have a southern accent though) because I've lived all over the damn place because my POS father couldn't keep a job. I was born in WV, lived in OH, NC, TN, FL (14 years), DC, CA and VA. After a couple of years at JUCO in FL while I was in the NG after ETS, I transferred to WVU to finish my BA, and then my MA. I moved out to Oregon about 7 years ago with the ex-wife. Wife #2's son is the older one, and the little guy is almost 15 months old.
Most of the people here are either Oregon Duck or OSU Beaver fans (the only interpretation I need done here is to understand: Hippie, Anarchist, and Spanish).
I shoot IPSC with a guy that went to WVU and now works at Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. I've run into a few WVU alumni here, but not many. This is a pretty small town, my LEO friends tell me there are a lot more scumbags than I care to know about.
I freakin' cringe everytime I hear something bad about WV or someone from there. I think one (or more) of those leg puke MP's posing with Iraqi scumbags is from some hick town there.

Nice pic's berkley. two fine looking boys. I think you have followed the Lord's wish, "go forth and propogate". I always thought he told me to "procrastinate".

Ranger Slowpoke: Not that close, we live in N. Albany in Benton Co. My brother-in-law and some shooting friends work there.
Hopps, Ranger EarthPig & Ranger Steadfast: Thanks.
The little one has given us a couple of good scares, he has SVT, and is on daily meds to prevent it from recurring.
He's a bruiser, almost 27 lbs. over 3 ft. tall (not quite 15 months old), talking (favorite word is NO), walking, and running into things, and he laughs when I tease the cat.
I'm working on the older boy quite a bit. Have him reading Starship Troopers, and thinking right. I coached his soccer team last fall. Not having any experience coaching sports, I fell back on what I know from playing the game 20+ years ago, and how to properly motivate young men (and 1 girl).
Needless to say, they ran an awful lot. More than I'm sure they've ever run in their lives. It was a very rewarding experience because they responded to the NCO in me, and the parents said they noticed a change in most of the kids. I keep promising my older boy about the smoke thats coming this fall. Even if we don't win alot of games, I'll have the fittest little bunch of 11 & 12 year old hooahs around, and they won't quit.
:)

However brief, it was nevertheless a career cert! My neice is but 11 years old and is playing already 3 years. I have been told she has abilities far beyond her years. My brother showed me the trophy she received for Most Valuable Player from her soccer league. Now she is 3rd baseman for her softball team. This is the type of individual your coach needed cert. berkley pay no attention to young cert, he is but a junior in H.S. for all his worldly experience. Perserve berkley, Drive On! Intestinal Fortitude is a virtue of great quality that will pave their young lives with great victories berkley.certiorari wrote:Ahh, by god you'll give me nightmares bberley. I remember I had a coach once we just ran us all practice every practice. We ran more then we practiced. So when the game got around, we could run circles around the other team, all the way from their goal line to the back of our net lol. The guy didnt teach us much in the way of playing soccer, I think he was there only because he had to be, not by choice really. What really annoyed me though was that he went pro a few years later, but only had a brief carrer I think.
