Re: Mountain Lion Attack In Wyoming
DNR in Michigan has been denying mountain lion attacks for years. Not sure what it is; but there have been some kind of big cat attacking livestock in South Central Michigan. We've also had bear sightings in the area. Seen and heard damn coyotes for years. This morning the dogs were in some kind of slobbering fit and saw two Red Foxes at the entrance to the subdivision across the road. No one will pay attention to any type of for four legged or two legged predator till some child gets attacked or someone plops a carcass down as proof they were attacked.

Re: Mountain Lion Attack In Wyoming
Coyotes are now commonplace in the Atlanta suburbs. I've personally spotted 3, and all looked very healthy from their diets of small fluffy domesticated things. A couple years ago a young black bear thought Gwinnett County was interesting until DNR came to repatriate him back to the hills.
Another amusing side effect of our national pussification (i.e. not enough hunters) is that there are now erosion problems in developed areas of the Atlanta metro that can be directly contributed to deer. Seems that large "herds" of them have been grazing the grass down to nothing in office & industrial parks.
