Who is going to win the election
Moderator: Site Admin
I voted for who I think will win.... not who I want to win.
Obama will walk away with it.
Hey but on the bright side of things all our troubles in this country will be over. Who knows maybe some of us will get some entitlements.

I did my thing and cast my early vote yesterday: McCain.
I'm just sick of all these people praising "the One" and casting him as the "Messiah". On other forums I frequent, I've seen postings where folks see this almost as a quasi religious/sexual experience with Obama. WTF?!?!

Obama; but, I don't think it will be a landslide...probably a 4-5% difference.
Early voting and Absentee ballots are kicking ass down here. Marion County has 214,722 registered voters; we're looking at a~85% turnout or 182,513 votes. So far, Early Voting is at 21,967 and Absentees are at 25,097 for a total of 47,064 ballots cast, or 26%. We're averaging about 3,500 Early votes/Absentees per day, and there are 4 more days of Early Voting, but Absentees are no longer mailed out after tomorrow. So, we can probably add another 17,500 ballots cast to the 47,064 number to give us 64,564 ballots cast before Election Day. That's 35% already voted, and about 65%, or 118,633 who will vote on Election Day.
Why am I spewing all this crap out? Historically, at least in Marion County, Early Voting and Absentees have always been a good indicator of how the election is going to turn out. Republicans are dominating Absentees, and Democrats are dominating Early Voting. So far, Republicans have returned/cast 20,946 ballots and Democrats have cast/returned 19,372.
I can see Republicans voting for Obama, but I have a hard time seeing Democrats voting for McCain. So, currently, there's a 7% difference between Republicans and Democrats who have already voted in Marion County.

Polls don't mean jack, but I say it will be a tight race. As for Obama winning by a landslide...........how many black men have been elected President ? The odds are against him.

I have no idea who is going to win, I guess we'll have to wait for the Judicial branch to figure out the cluster fuck that is inbound.
I have said that the one thing We the people can take pride in is our peaceful transition of political power.
For the record McCain and Obama are the same guy. You couldn't fit a piece of paper between their positions on the real issues that concern this country. If Obama wins maybe Nancy Pelosi will grace us with silence...If McCain wins we're in for her gum slapping for another four years.

I'd have to disagree with you Dan.
McCain may be just another politician, but Obama is a dedicated socialist. Most liberals are just morons. This guy is a Marxist with a plan.

I just don't feel the end is near! We'll elect yet another mediocre intellectual with little to no executive leadership experience (regardless of who wins).BadMuther wrote:Silverback wrote:I have no idea who is going to win, I guess we'll have to wait for the Judicial branch to figure out the cluster fuck that is inbound.
