He is an E-5. One of the few there. Appearently this time apart, though, is not doing so well on our relationship, so my soon to be may be not so much anymore. :/

Welcome to the site. You know that the military regardless of branch will have "time apart" and if you wish for this to work you must overcome that. Good luck.
