Vigilantes may sound cool and they may have done a good thing. The problem as someone pointed out is....it almost always gets out of control.
Old western towns generally had Citizen Law in the absense of a Marshall or Sheriff. The citizens would band together, make the law stick, and get back to their work. Vigilantes get a religious fervor of control and violence. There is a huge difference.

I agree completely. It does (sort of) sound good in theory, and it may be working now, but in the long term it will spiral downhill and get out of hand creating a bigger problem than it originally solved.Abell9 wrote:Vigilantes may sound cool and they may have done a good thing.
