Yes it is a Weatherby Mag. I have a 6x Leupold on mine. It is an good rifle, but not a tack driver. I need a different stock on mine to make it fit my ape arms and big mellon. I make the rifle look kinda like a kiddie gun. If your going to pick it up, make sure you can live with (what I concider an inadiquate) stock. The action is good, I have never had any problems, even though I have had it in the mud, rain, snow and sand.TC204 wrote:Ranger Black 6, your .340 isn't a Weatherby mag is it? There's a used Mk IV with a Leupold in 300 Wby magnum at a local store I'm thinking about picking up.

Since the purpose of the 2d Amendment is to ensure that the common citizens will always have the right to cast his/her vote, and to defend themselves from abusive government officials, then the answer to this question
Exactly as the Founding Fathers intended.
The only free citizen to whom a government will accord respect is an armed citizen.
Anyone else is a subject.
is a resounding YES.TC204 wrote: Should our elected officials live under the threat of reprisal on their lives from disgruntled constituents?

i hear these arguments constantly with my state politicians in IL
our attorney general Lisa Madigan, has been fighting to get 50cal rifles banned with amnesty also, her claim they can shoot down airplanes at our 2 major aiports near chicago
IL is at a constant fight with gun control, the scary thing is the majority of our politicians are supporiting the measures
including my "great" senator dick durbin

"The 223, 308, 7mm mauser, 30-06, and 6.5x55 have no place in the hunting fields of France. Firearms shooting these calibers are military weapons only designed for killing PEOPLE and should be kept out of the hands of the general population. Because they have no hunting purpose, there is no reason for civilians to own them."
First off, the French are fags.
Damn,
I didn't know my 6.5x55 was a sniper rifle! It doen't look like one. Of course it does have a super duper 3x9 scope on it! And Oh My God! It has a sling as well! I guess the deer I have shot with it should be thankfull to have been taken down with an O Official, Genuwine, Fucken A, "Sniper Rifle"!
I know this year at deer camp I will have to inform my buddies that "This here rifle that looks like a Mauser with a very nice stock (If I do say so myself) is from now on a Sniper Rifle!
Fuck me. I wonder if it is now worth more because of it's new status!

Oh yea, I forgot. My 6.5x55 has killed more than a couple of deer, but I never tried to kill a train. Can anyone tell me how to properly gut a train? Also how in the hell could I drag it back to my truck?

Ranger Flesh Thorn,
I guess I'll have to git rid of my .300 Win Mag, I know it can't handle 600 pounds of steel. :D :D :D :D :D :D
Oh well back to a Marlin I guess.
Must be those new fangled 30.30 bullets I've read about. The ones with the spire point, rubber soft tips. I'm glad I didn't know this when I was a kid.....a rifle with that kind of power might have knocked me on my ass."Another rifle caliber, the 30.30 caliber, was responsible for penetrating three officers' armor and killing them in 1993, 1996, and 2002.
