Ranger paladin1952-

Please allow me to explain what I said, as I meant no offense to the religious and non-religious alike, as well as to every other Ranger on this site.

I am a Christian. I do go to Church. While I may not be the best Christian on the planet (the reason for my comment about not being the most religious person), I do have an amount of faith in something larger than ourselves. My response to Ranger CHCB's comment was just to inform him and everyone that I am putting in the hard work and doing everything in my power to ensure my future and to achieve my goals and dreams. I am not sitting back and hoping these things come to me, rather I am gladly doing the work to go out and achieve what I want most in life.

I apologize for coming across as a poser Ranger paladin1952, but please understand that is the farthest thing from the truth.

I hold the greatest respect for Rangers and all that you do. My uncle (my biggest influence to join the Army) was a Ranger, our best Cadre here at USC are Rangers, and I will stop at nothing short of becoming a Ranger myself upon graduation.

I apologize for anything I said that may have offended anyone, not just Ranger paladin1952. Again, I respect you all very much and want nothing more than to be a Ranger myself.

You want Infantry? Go out and get it!
Ranger CHCB- I completely understand your point and agree with you... I am actually not the most religious person on the planet.
.
Don't misconstrue my remarks, as they have nothing to do with religion. I simply believe that each of us is endowed with the ability to choose between good and evil, between taking action and remaining passive, and that each of us is eventually answerable for the choices we make. Unloading branch assignment onto the shoulders of the Almighty just strikes me as being a little too passive.

I did not misconstrue your remarks. I understand and agree with your remarks to a point. I was just in disagreement with his. As in his readiness to add God Willing to his message and then disavow being religious
My point being if he was asking God for his help in getting a contract then he should have not put that down so lightly or so easily.I am not one to judge if a man is or isnt religious and I am certainly not one to pound a Bible. But when a man chooses he should be ready in all ways to defend it.If you chose for the Almighty to be on your side then you need to defend him. Just my 2 cents. Not worth much, and certainly wont buy anything!

A man can be a poser in any facet of his life if he pretends to be something that he is not. I may have thrown that word out too fast. Your reply to CHCB invited my response.
I believe that you will go on to be what you want to be. Never ever quit and never ever compromise your integrity or your beliefs. This has been a good lesson in what one small word , can do or not do. If you want something go for it and never be afraid of the consequences if you are right. Follow in your relatives footsteps but choose the career that you desire, not someone else. If you want to be a Ranger, then don't let anything stand in your way.
