Boy, you are fucked up.

Figure out your goal in life and go for it. You still don't have a goal, and you definately don't know which way you'll take to get there.

Damn...Rangers...when I was a sophmore in High School all I wanted was a blow job. This boy is miles ahead of where I was. The only reason I became a Ranger in the first place is some poster I saw in the ROTC office at school and they offered me 4 pair of boots, not 2. Being from West Virginia....shoes are a big thing.
And what sophmore do you know that has an azimuth plotted in life? For that matter....what Senior?

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

My point was that the one thing he 'really wanted' was to be a Ranger. Yet he plotted about seven different azimuths; all leading in the opposite direction to BN. I simply have grown tired of these kids coming on here, and without fail, having a 'I want to be a Ranger, but could you do it for me' attitude.

It's ok to have questions; just do your homework first.

It's ok to be undecided; just don't proclaim your 'undying love and devotion to MAYBE wanting to someday hopefully try-out for the Rangers'. It sounds kind of hollow when placed in the same sentence as 'I am undecided'.

Saltbitch (like that name) point well made and taken. Ive got 3 kids and have coached/prodded/herded/terrorized/threatened/and whupped hundreds if not thousands of others through the years including in the Army. Very few, I mean less than 1% didnt have their heads up their ass and their compass needle spun like a washing machine.
Your name reminds me....I called my mother a "salty bitch" when I was 14 and she stuck a table fork in my arm 3 inches deep. It hit my arm because I was protecting my chest where she was aiming. I admired and very much respected her for that.

First off, don't join for the college money, Join because you want to serve your country. That reason, is one of the reasons, that I think the regular Army is fucked up today.

First and foremost, shitstabber: You'd better fucking CAPITALIZE my fucking name when you speak to me; and that goes for ALL of the Rangers and Veterans on here. Don't be a smartass and capitalize the whole thing, either. Type it how you see it.

Second of all, until you prove me wrong, shut your fucking cumdumpster. I DON'T have to prove my point of veiw; and you're not qualified to have one. So don't think you are going to come here and tell ME, or anyone else, 'what's what'. Are we friggin' clear?!

Rgr Saltbitch (and others) maybe you can clear something up for me. Is becoming a Ranger largely a 'young man’s game'? Therefore putting it off could prove detrimental for the DEPs? -Or does putting it off demonstrate a lack of fortitude needed for the process?

Everybody is different. I suppose the ideal would be someone with the maturity of a 35 year-old and the body of an 20 year-old. In reality, it doesn't happen that way; unfortunatly most of the things in life that bring maturity also put unwanted mileage on the body. Not saying that older dudes aren't as good, just that they possibly have injuries that have occured somewhere in their past.

Most of the guys who I saw that came into BN that were in their late twenties/early thirties were almost always squared away. The only problems or things that seemed to 'hang them up' were the childish/immature 'games'. A lot of them couldn't handle some 22 year-old tabbed SP4 smoking their ass and belittling them. Other than that, they were almost always GTG.
