Can I ask what's your special skill? what do they consider waiverable assets?
Certainly, Veteran SnafuRacer. As I understand it, a "waiverable asset" entails any qualifications or training that the Army deems to be in high demand and short supply (i.e., language, diver, etc...). In other words, something that distinguishes one candidate from the others.

As for me, my "waiverable asset" would be my language skills. I speak Farsi (Iran) like a native and I also speak Spanish (college level), but it seems that Farsi is more desirable given the current global climate.

Having said that, I am scheduled to be administered the DLPT (Defense Language Proficiency Test) in both Farsi and Spanish, with the minimum score required being a 1/1 (from what I have been told) in order to be considered sufficiently proficient. The reason I mention this is to illustrate that the Army will indeed verify a candidate's claims sometime during the waiver process and as such, I was advised to be prepared.

I hope this hepls. Take care and have a happy holidays.

Very Respectfully,

Justin
Now, Justin, knock off the BS show some committment. There are very few native-level Farsi speakers. However, you need to get a lot of training under your belt before you ever become an asset to anyone. You need to start learning what kind of training will enhance your language skills because a successful warrior has a wide variety of skills. We can always hire translators -- warriors are developed.

SFC hit_it,

Would you like me to post or send you the text of the USAREC message detailing these aforementioned changes to the 18X enlistment program?
Go ahead.

Be advised that Phulano is very upset with you fucking 18X'ers right now.

Not good for you if you make it here to Bragg.

I think you should all regroup....quick.

Why? He's an 18X-ray. Put 9 years of hard soldiering on your ass then talk shit, Phulano.

That was the biggest "my pussy hurts" whining session I have had the displeasure of reading since I've been a member and moderator of ArmyRanger.com.
