Actions really do speak louder than words. Say it once, and come back in X weeks with your RIP class number.

Just be smart and use some fucking common sense. If you want to drink, it's not the best idea to go out onto Victory Drive and have the potential of getting too fucked up/drunk&disorderly/arrested. But if you just have a few drinks to relax behind the locked door of your hotel room, you should be fine. They say if common sense was common, everyone would fucking have it. Obviously that's not the case.

I saw so many friends fall to the wayside on path to BN, either quit, hurt, or fucked over (mostly #1 though). Now they're all at 4th ID, 3rd ID, Alaska, 101st, and the 82nd. Do they get to practice live fires in shoothouse on a regular basis? Do they send their guys to schools to learn 'extra' things to make them a better rounded soldier (EMT, Demo, etc)? Do they have the budget that is larger than a tank division for only 800 soldiers? Do they go on 3 month deployment rotations? No, because they're sitting on their asses, doing stupid shit like mowing lawns, cleaning weapons and pulling guard. Because that is the stupid shit you will do 24/7 over in legland. I've been in BN barely a month and I've already done a lot of livefire and personally blew up three doors last night.

But I guess the 82nd is 'good enough', eh?

If you want it bad enough, you'll get it. So fucking stay focused and make it happen.
