new 18x guy here
Hi all. My name is Phil. i am 21 years old, and and an AEMT-I. i'm from NY and have joined the col. national guard with an 18x contract, i want to be 18d(medic). spent close to two years working on getting this contract, due to medical and legal issues, and finally got it.
i have read many of the posts for a while and thought that this would be a great place to get some fitness tips. i posted a little report card of my fitness stats on military.com but didnt get too much feed back and was hoping i ya'll might help me here. oh, the porn star avatar's are great! Thanks, phil

Leaving on april 27 for an 18x
i am 5'11, 211
here's what i can do:
bench:225x6
squat:225x10
pushups:94-last week i was only going to do 20 but kept going. couldn't have been much more than about 2 min
situps:armscrossed:75-85 in 2min
pullups: palmsout:17
palmsin:21
did a ruck march last sunday 13 miles on a xcmountainbike course, way too much up hill, didnt keep track of time but was being paced by my dad and dog, niether of them had a 60lb sand bag, and why was i carrying all the water and food ?
running... two miles takes me about 14.30 to 15 min i can do 4 in about 35 min if i have someone to pace off of. the longest run i have ever done was 7 miles and i was 110lbs then
any insight from those in the know would be great thanks, Phil.

That's all you can do? 21 chinups? Hell, I can do at least......................3. Don't worry about your bench press....nobody cares and it won't really help you in Rangering. You need to be able to do pushups and flutterkicks all day long. Same with situps. Run like the wind. Get your 2 mile time down in the 11's, if you can. You're definately on the right track and could probably smoke this old man. Keep on truckin'.Phily357 wrote:if some btdt's could critque(sp?) my fitness base and tell me where i stand and where i need to put more work that would be awsome.
