question about R.O.P

Post by hayn808 »

i just made my cuttoff and will be promoted 1 OCT, so i will be going to ROP now. I know RIP is 4 weeks and ROP is 3 Wks. I just wanted to know whats the difference in the training that the Ncos' and officers get thats different then the E-4s' and below? Is it pretty much the same? I tried researching the answer allready and just kept getting info on RIP.

The long and short of it is this. ROP will ensure you meet the minimum standards (APFT, Road march, Swim test) and then introduce you to things (equipment, tactics) that are peculiar to the Regiment. The smoke sessions in ROP are cadre led PT sessions and RIPees don't have to attend a board. Yes you'll be boarded at the end of ROP.
