Hi everyone
I'm heading to Thailand in early February for a little over a month. I'll be spending time in Bangkok and northern Thailand, mainly Chiang Mai, with a possible trip to Pai. One thing I've been trying to sort out is mobile data. I'd rather avoid using my French carrier's roaming since the charges outside Europe are pretty expensive. I've been reading about local SIM cards like AIS, DTAC, and TrueMove, but a few friends suggested getting a Thailand eSIM instead. The idea of setting everything up before I leave while keeping my French number active at the same time definitely sounds convenient. My only concern is whether an eSIM is still a good choice for a trip of this length and how well it performs outside the main cities. I'll be moving around quite a bit, so reliable coverage is more important to me than getting the absolute cheapest plan. Has anyone used an eSIM in Thailand recently for a month or so? Which provider did you go with, and would you recommend it?
