I always found the Oakley Desert assault boots to be wide in the toes and narrow in the heel. It's been a few years since I've bought a set though.
As an alternative, have you considered getting a pair that fit your heel then soak the pair a few times and wear them dry each time? By soak, I mean literally soak them. Fill the bathtub, take them to a river, swamp, etc.
That should stretch out the front to an acceptable level.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check those boots out as well. My feet aren't that duck-like, but I prefer a tiny bit more space in the front than what most boots allow for.
