I apologize for my late PT test, I ended up working extra hours yesterday and it screwed over my schedule.

I got my run time back down but dropped back below a perfect on my sit ups and pull ups went down... Not good. After spring break I need to get back into the groove of consistent workouts and get after it. With ship soon, I need to push on even more than usual.

90 days from shipping those are excellent numbers. Glad you are never satisfied. Keep working hard... physical fitness isn't good for the military, it's good for life. Until you have a heart attack at age 40-something because of genetics... then, well, you're shit out of luck.

The main thing I wanted to mention this SITREP is the meeting Belman1, KeepRunning3 and I had. It didn't start off good, as Belman was late and we all got knock out some for that. We planned to go running, but as none of us are doctors, we weren't really sure what was going on with Belman's hamstring tear. We ended up going to a small adult playground on the south side of Chicago on the lakefront, and we knocked out a PU/SU/Pull-Up circuit. None of us quit, and by the end of the day the pull-up bar was covered in blood from the rips on our hands. Belman1 is a remarkable guy; He's 6'1" or so but 215 pounds of muscle, and he yells constantly when PT'ing. KeepRunning3 is the opposite end of the spectrum, maybe 5'6" or 5'7" and 160 or so. He's smart and is a quieter version of Belman. His PT was great, albeit without the constant cries akin to a man being slaughtered. If Belman charges into everything without thinking (climbing down a wall on nothing but a flimsy wire fence while yelling, "AIRBORNE"), KeepRunning finds the alternative, realistic path.
Both of them are great guys who I'd want to have next to me in RASP. I hope our paths cross again in the military.

I like it Andrew... minus the ripping of the hands. That is something you never get used to... just happened to me Monday on the o-course... Electric tape is great to get you through, just put something over the cut to make sure you don't rip off what you are healing.

That's an interesting idea, I've never used electrical tape for rips. I ripped my hands weekly when I did gymnastics, and I became very proficient at making grips out of athletic tape. Of course, electrical tape is much more common than athletic tape, so that makes far more sense, but it is also a little flimsier. I'm not a doctor either, so my preferences mean even less medical wise.
Of course, I also think rips are a normal part of working out, but that's probably just the gymnastics talking again.

If you did gymnastics, kudos to you. You definitely know way more about torn up hands then I ever will. I did ring dips once. They sucked so I moved on.

Ring dips are definitely not the most enjoyable thing in the world, but if it was then it wouldn't be fun.
