Hello,
My name is Ray and I'm 25 years old and currently working as a graphic designer. I realized that graphic design is not for me and I am looking to enlist with an Option 40 contract as soon as I can refresh my math skills for the ASVAB, get my PT scores up, and figure out what I would like to pursue as an MOS.
My PT scores are currently:
Push-ups: 56
Sit-ups: 72
Pull-ups: 13
2 Mile run: 14:02
So far I have done plenty of research on 91b Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and 13f Fire Support Specialist. I was wondering if I you guys could please answer some of my remaining questions about these two MOS'
1. How do these two MOS' differ in the Ranger Regiment than in the regular Army?
2. What are the dangers of being a 13f? I have found some information, but they were not from the perspective of an actual 13f in the Ranger Regiment.
3. I know that 91b is not a combat arms MOS, however learning how to fight and fight well is still something I would like to learn should the need ever arise. Is that something that they teach you extensively in RASP?
Thank Rangers for picking up the sword and protecting this country. Thank you also for taking the time to read my introduction. I am excited to learn from you all.
Cheers,
Ray

Thank you very much for the welcoming. I really appreciate it.
Re: Introduction - Ray
With all due respect, I have scrutinized that website for a good while, I have searched the web, I have spoken to a couple of recruiters, and I have even emailed the contact information found on the 75th Ranger Regiment website. I have found some answers, yet they were not very thorough or they came from the perspective of 82nd Airborne or regular Army.
I would please like to hear from a couple of 91b's and 13f's with first hand experience in the Ranger Regiment.

Re: Introduction - Ray
The phrase "with all due respect" sounds good in the movies but any time you find yourself using it in the real military it is best to not say anything at all. Put it in the same category as "permission to speak freely". Makes for good drama. Not good order and discipline.
