If you knew Deke, you probably knew Sump (Mallory) as well.
Both were definitely characters. Especially when Deke decided to go all GQ for Ranger Joes and their catalog

Sump sounds familiar but he might have been in another company. Deke was in C Co in the late 70s and 80s, I believe he went to B Co in the 90s.
I remember I was looking for something on rangerjoes.com in the late 90s and Deke's Pictures were still on there. I just check and it looks like they've all been replaced.

Deke was 1SG for B CO 95-96 time frame then HHC 1SG for a stretch. Then he went to USASMA and 10th MTN (I think), then BDE CSM for 1/25th when they converted to Stryker.rangerjd wrote:Sump sounds familiar but he might have been in another company. Re: RPG 7 for US Army ?
You just better take that as luck I have seen them make so outstanding shots but the JAVELIN is on point all day long and the RPG accuracy is as good as the person firing it
