This week has been pretty busy, I've been doing my PT and also attending these future soldier meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's something the recruiters put together where Army DEPers comes to the recruiting station and do PT or play some sport. We played football on Thursday and did a small 1-1-1 PT test on Tuesday (1 min push ups, sit ups, and run 1 mile). The recruiters have also set everyone up with these online classes to do, it includes different lessons about basic military stuff like 24hr time, ranks, phonetic alphabet, first aid, values and customs, drills, etc. They even have a lesson on land nav, which the others are struggling on, but I'll make sure to pay extra attention on that one. Next Tuesday we will be doing strictly PT stuff, so push ups, sit ups and running.

As far as the 1-1-1 PT test went, I did the best out of the other dozen guys that were there. During the run only 1 person other than me actually passed the run as well, and he happens to be a 11B DEP who is shipping out in July after he graduates HS. I got a chance to talk to him and apparently he wants to become a Ranger as well, but he didn't get it on his contract. So he is going to try to get a slot in OSUT he says. I told him about this site so maybe I can get him to sign up and say hello.

I haven't gotten a chance to do a full PT test yet, but here are my scores from the 1-1-1 test.

Sit ups: 45
1 Mile: 7:46
