Army Rangers Indoctrinate Boys From Make A Wish

Post by centermass »

FORT BENNING, Ga. – Eleck Stone, eight years old, from New Mexico begins his quest to become a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Accompanied by his younger brother, Bryce, and supported by the Make-A-Wish Foundation; Eleck has been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Both began Thursday morning with a reception brief and airborne training. After completing an airborne operation, conducting heavy weapons training, and assaulting a compound with his new Ranger buddies, does Eleck have the desire to complete his mission to become a member of the Ranger Regiment? Tomorrow's performance will be crucial.(U.S. Army photos by Pfc. Parker Johnson, 75th Ranger Regiment documentation specialist/Released)

This is beyond cool - it is extraordinary cool.

Though I doubt it will, it should receive much publicity.

P.S. Makes this FOG get blurry vision...

Our DEP's are behind the curve of The-Make-a-Wish Foundation. ArmyRanger.com still accomplishes the mission.

FORT BENNING, Ga. - After a grueling day at the shooting range, it appears that nothing will deter Eleck Stone from achieving his goal of becoming a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. The Make-A-Wish Foundation provided the Regiment this eight year old New Mexican treasure. Turns out Eleck is a dead-eye shot. Looks like he might just have what it takes to join the Regiment. FORT BENNING, Ga. - Ladies and gentlemen, meet Ranger Eleck Stone, and his brother, Bryce, the newest members of the 75th Ranger Regiment. After completing their two day assessment and selection program, the Regimental Commander and Regimental Sergeant Major voted unanimously to add Eleck and Bryce to the ranks of the U.S. Army's premier raid force. Well done, Ranger Buddies! (U.S. Army photo by Pfc. Eric Overfelt, 75th Ranger Regiment documentation specialist/Released)

What a fantastic story. May God bless our newest young Rangers there.

Things like this can touch a hardened man down to his soul, I bet those Rangers on hand training them will feel this for a good long time as well and they deserve to feel that what's left of goodness and innocence in the world after what they've been through the last 12yrs.

100% win/win right there. For those that made it happen, kudos to you all.
