I tell people "I was born and raised in Southern California and grew up in Vietnam". I went there as a an 18 year old PFC Paratrooper, 8 months out of High School. A year later I went home an Airborne Ranger Sgt. E-5....and a very different person.

That was VERY fuckin' cool RangerJD! Thank you!
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.

I watched this video several times before I posted it. It's graphic at times, but I believe it does honor to the men who served there. I grew up in the 60s and 70s and the men who served in Vietnam were my heroes, still are. When I joined the army anyone E-7 or above was a Vietnam Veteran and a lot of the E-6s also served in Vietnam. It was a pleasure to serve with and learn from these men. And it's about time they're starting to get the recognition that they have deserved for all these years. RLTW
