USSOCOM Welcomes Its Newest Top Enlisted NCO

Post by centermass »

CSM Bill Thetford leaves JSOC to assume the top enlisted position at USSOCOM. He will be replacing CSM Chris Faris.

He is a veteran of 2/75 and one of the last active NCO's who also participated in Operation Urgent Fury.

Is that a gawdamm blue pen in his pocket?

Just kidding, I read they relaxed that standard a while back.

Urgent Fury through today? That would make him....OLD! Still looks like he can kick ass though...

You more than likely did.

The last thing we did together was Australian PTS in Nowra 1989. He was talking about A&S in the near future. While we were there, he almost (Well, he actually did) crashed and burned coming in under an MT1-XX. Wound up smacking one of the vehicles head on that was in the parking lot....I have to admit, it was funny because his pride was crushed more than his body was.
