Ranger Sydnor

Ranger Elliott P (Bud) Sydnor, was a Ranger's Ranger. He commanded a battalion in Viet-Nam and led the Army element on the Son Tay Raid. He led the Ranger Department at Fort Benning (Now the Ranger Training Brigade) and was a 1992 inductee to the Ranger Hall of Fame.

This was posted in Fallen Rangers which is a locked thread. Many of us were involved or knew COL "Bud" Syndor, I wanted to take the opportunity to open it up. I was in the Advanced Course at Benning when he was the Director of the Ranger Department, and I had the good fortune to see several of his presentations on Son-Tay. He was unique, and it was an honor to know him.
