The Rifle Called Daisy

Post by Grunt »

Remember your first BB/Pellet gun? Having always like handguns more than rifles, my first was a Crossman 1377. This article brought back a few memories. Although written in 1963, I don't think much has changed with boys and BB guns.

Great find. I had a Daisy. My mother warned me not to shoot my eye out (just like Ralphy"s mother did).

I have been looking to upgrade to a "big boy" air rifle. Of course there will be a shortage of pellet ammo right after I buy..........

I've been looking at the Benjamin Trail NP XL - http://www.crosman.com/airguns/rifles/b ... /BT1122WNP

As for a pellet shortage, I've also been looking in to making my own. apparently casting for that size is non-existent. Everything I've seen is rod extrusion/swaging based.

I had a Red Ryder I inherited from my Grandfather. It was an older model, and even had a"working" external hammer like the old Winchester 94.
