Jay, that's the most complete introduction I've seen in a while. However, you failed to tell us what school you attend. In addition, if you have questions use the search feature located on the top right of this page. You made a couple good points in your discussion. One of my personal bitches were my peers who pulled strings to become Jump Master qualified. When I was a PL in the 82d, I made a personal promise to not take a slot until all my team leaders and squad leaders had been to JM. Some of my guys had 100 jumps and were still wearing novice wings. I'm convinced that being a PL is the best job in the Army for a Lieutenant. I always thought that the best statement about a man is an understatement, Some of the finest Special Forces officers I ever served with were Engineer branch. But if you have a chance, Ranger school should be your first choice. The rest is just so much fluff. Never, never quit!
