Shipping Out - 11B OSUT Benning 30APR2012

The time is now upon me to ship out for OSUT at Ft. Benning. I ship 30APR2012 as an 11B. Although my plans for becoming a Ranger are still years down the line I appreciate the information I have received here and the stories that have been shared.

OSUT went by very fast and I recently graduated 17AUG. I was assigned to A CO 2/54 for my training and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience on Sand Hill. After graduation I was able to drive around main post and seeing the Airborne towers and the Ranger compound motivated me that much more to one day join the regiment. Talking with some of my buddies with RASP contracts made me wish I had gone active right out of high school, but I can't dwell on the decision I have made. Right now I am looking forward to joining my unit in the Michigan National Guard as well as contracting SMP with the University of Michigan.

Good SITREP! What unit are you serving with in the MIARNG?

Ranger Jim,

I'm assigned to the 125th Infantry as it stands. However there is a good chance that I may be changing in the coming months.
